Critics’ Choice Awards 2020 Netflix vince con The Irishman, When They See Us, Marriage Story. Miglior serie drama Succession, vince anche Fleabag
I Critics’Choice Awards 2020 sono partiti dai Golden Globe dando però una propria impronta. Così miglior drama e miglior comedy tv sono ancora Succession e Fleabag, con Phoebe Waller Bridge ancora miglior protagonista, ma il miglior attore è Jeremy Strong sempre di Succession. Sul fronte miniserie conservata solo la vittoria di Stellan Skaarsgard per Chernobyl con la categoria dominata da When they See Us. E ai critici è piaciuta anche Watchmen di cui hanno premiato Regina King e Jean Smart.
Sul fronte cinematografico è C’era una volta a Hollywood il miglior film con Sam Mendes che conquista la miglior regia per 1917 a pari merito con Parasite. Miglior attore naturalmente Phoenix di Joker, The Irishman vince per il miglior cast. Complessivamente i Critici hanno guardato più Netflix di quanto non abbia fatto la stampa estera.
