Emmy 2020 nominations: What We Do in the Shadows tra le migliori comedy, Stranger Things e The Mandalorian tra i best drama
Annuncio delle nomination insolito rispetto al solito con Josh Gad da casa così come Laverne Cox e Tatiana Maslany mentre a condurre l’appuntamento da uno studio virtuale c’è Leslie Jones. La cerimonia di premiazione dei 72esimi Emmy Awards sarà il 20 settembre in diretta su ABC condotta da Jimmy Kimmel, al momento non dovrebbe svolgersi da remoto anche se è difficile immaginare una sala piena come gli altri anni.
Sorprendono le nomination di Stranger Things e The Mandalorian come miglior drama (derive molto popolari per la manifestazione) mentre Killing Eve e Dead To Me sembrano più nomination abitudinarie che meritate. Potrebbe essere l’anno di Succession, mentre tra le migliori attrici attenzione a Zendaya. Meritata la doppia nomination per i due protagonisti di black-ish ma sicuramente sarà un’edizione in cui il movimento Black Lives Matters avrà la sua importanza sulle votazioni finali.
