Harvey Guillén e Brenda Song hanno annunciato le nomination per l’edizione 77 degli Emmy Awards, la cerimonia sarà negli USA su CBS e Paramount+ il 14 settembre 2025 (in Italia su Sky Atlantic e NOW nella notte tra 14 e 15 settembre). Nomination tutte ampiamente previste Apple ha dominato sia tra i drama che tra le comedy con la seconda stagione di Scissione, Slow Horses e la prima della sorprendente e divertente The Studio (con tutti i guest compreso Martin Scorsese) ma anche con Shrinking. Ci sono The Pitt, The Last of us, Hacks, The Penguin di HBO, tanta Disney con Abbott Elementary, Dying for Sex, The Bear, presente Netflix con Adolescence, The Diplomat, Black Mirror, Nobody Wants this. A 83 anni con Shrinking Harrison Ford ottiene la prima nomination.
Ci sono alcuni aspetti da chiarire rapidamente. A poter essere nominate erano le serie tv rilasciate tra il 1° giugno 2024 e il 31 maggio 2025, quindi per esempio The Bear è nominata per la stagione 3 e non per la 4 e Squid Game per la 2 e non per la 3, così come non possono esserci le serie tv uscite a giugno o rilasciate solo in parte come The Gilded Age giusto per dirne una. Inoltre da quest’anno non possono essere nominati come guest star chi era già stato nominato come protagonista o non protagonista in precedenza per la stessa serie. Inoltre le guest star devono esser presenti per almeno il 5% delle puntate sottoposte a valutazione ma per non oltre il 50%.
