Emmy 2021 nomination: The Crown e The Mandalorian dominano le nomination, con WandaVision. Arrivano nomination per The Boys tra i migliori drama
Stanotte 19 settembre negli Stati Uniti saranno consegnati gli Emmy Awards 2021, i premi che celebrano la tv americana, serie tv, miniserie, comedy, film tv. In Italia dalle 2:00 la cerimonia è in diretta su Sky Serie e Sky Atlantic in simulcast.
La cerimonia di premiazione dal Microsoft Theater di Los Angeles è in onda su CBS e sarà condotta da Cedric The Entertainer, il protagonista della comedy The Neighborhood. A differenza della cerimonia dello scorso anno, quest’anno sarà parzialmente in presenza, con una ristretta partecipazione dei nominati in studio.
I numeri
Le nomination agli Emmy 2021 sono state annunciate da Ron Chephas Jones e dalla figlia Jasmine Chepas Jones. Tra i trionfatori ritroviamo The Crown e The Mandalorian, che sono al primo posto con 24 nomination ricevute. Seguono: WandaVision (23), The Handmaid’s Tale (21), Ted Lasso (20), Lovecraft Country (18), La Regina degli Scacchi (18) e Omicidio a Easttown (16).
Sulle nomination per canale, gli Emmy 2021 hanno annunciato il totale per “piattaforma” ossia per casa di produzione, cosa che non è piaciuta a molti e soprattutto a Netflix, che per la quantità di serie tv e show prodotti era sempre in testa alla classifica. Quest’anno ritroviamo HBO e HBO Max che hanno ottenuto ben 130 nomination. Seguono Netflix con 129; Disney con 71, NBC con 46 e Apple TV+ con 34 nomination. Alcuni premi sono già stati consegnati durante i Creative Arts Emmy (qui come è andata).
