MTV EMA 2020 Lady Gaga seguita da Justin Bieber in testa alle nomination, Random l’ultima scelta tra gli italiani; la premiazione stasera su MTV l’8 novembre
Annunciate le nomination agli MTV EMA 2020 e intesta c’è Lady Gaga in testa con 7 tra cui “Best Artist,” “Best Pop,” e “Best Video” per il suo duetto con Ariana Grande in “Rain On Me”, brano presente anche nelle categorie “Best Song” e “Best Collaboration”. I BTS e Justin Bieber la rincorrono con cinque nomination ciascuno, presenti tra le altre nelle categorie “Biggest Fans” e “Best Pop.”
Novità di questa edizione la categorie “Best Latin,” “Video for Good” e “Best Virtual Live.” Torna anche la categoria “Best Local Act” dove tra gli artisti in nomination figurano: Lady Gaga, Megan Thee Stallion e Cardi B per “Best US Act,” Justin Bieber e The Weeknd per “Best Canadian Act” e Dua Lipa per “Best UK & Ireland Act”. L’appuntamento con gli MTV Ema è dalle 21:00 su MTV (canale 130 di Sky e in streaming su Now Tv in simulcast su MTV Music 131 e 704 di Sky).
La serata è condotta dalle Little Mix, candidate anche a quattro premi, e che si esibiranno sulle note di ‘Sweet Melody’, il singolo tratto dal loro nuovo album “Confetti”. Sam Smith, Maluma, Doja Cat, YUNGBLUD e Zara Larsson, Alicia Keys, Karol G, DaBaby, Jack Harlow e Tate McRae sono tra gli ospiti annunciati. Insieme ad altri grandi artisti del panorama musicale internazionale prenderanno parte ad una delle notti più importanti della musica a livello globale. Tra questi anche il produttore e DJ superstar David Guetta, che sarà il protagonista di una performance spettacolare girata in Ungheria e la modella Barbara Palvin regalerà ai fan uno sguardo dietro le quinte.
Best Italian Act 2020
Presente la categoria del Best Italian Act dove oltre a Levante, Diodato, Irama ed Elettra Lamborghini si è aggiunto Random scelto dai fan con una votazione su Instragram fra Achille Lauro, Elodie, Ghali, i Pinguini Tattici Nucleari; andato al ballottaggio con Eloide, alla fine Random ha prevalso.
