Alla fine ce l’ha fatto. Io, Capitano è entrato nella cinquina dei candidati all’Oscar come Miglior film in lingua non inglese. Nelle nomination agli Oscar 2024, annunciate in queste ore, spunta ancora una volta la sfida tra Barbie e Oppenheimer con rispettivamente 8 e 13 nomination. 10 nomination per Killers of the Flower Moon e 11 per Povere creature. Per la prima volta due blockbuster estivi usciti lo stesso weekend si contenderanno l’Oscar come miglior film. Spicca l’assenza di Greta Gerwin regista di Barbie e la sua protagonista Margot Robbie.
Fa la storia anche Lily Gladstone prima attrice nativa americana a esser nominata, naturalmente per il film Killers of the Flower Moon. Sorprende anche la totale assenza di Saltburn che evidentemente non ha colpito l’Academy, così come quella di Leonardo DiCaprio e di Andrew Scott per All of us Strangers. I premi saranno assegnati il 10 marzo.
